This year’s sold out Fashion Passion Runway Show and Auction exceeded last year’s $110,000 in proceeds raised for children with autism helped through Rainbows. Fashion Passion, a Friends of Rainbows United event, entertained a packed house of 450 guests with a runway show and auction at Wichita Marriott on Sunday, May 3.

Co-chairs of the event are Jo Walters and Shelley Schekall. Honorary Chair, George Laham, once again thrilled the audience with extra special, can’t-find-anywhere, live auction packages for the Bradley Fair Celebrate America event on July 2. Cox Communications was presenting sponsor. Official Sponsors were Spirit AeroSystems and Cessna Aircraft Company. Fashions were provided by Bradley Fair and presented by Models & Images. This year’s Rainbows United Children’s Classic golf tournament proved to be as fun as ever! Held once again at the beautiful Wichita Country Club on June 22, 2009, a field of 25 teams braved the 100 degree temperatures to raise money for early intervention services for young children.
With more than 2,000 children and families receiving vital services through Rainbows United each year, the Children’s Classic plays a big part in “bringing potential to life!”
