Studies overwhelmingly show that when children receive help early in life, they do better later in life.  If you and your child's doctor have identified a possible developmental delay, we can help.  Rainbows United offers a wide spectrum of services -- and ways to connect to services -- that address your child's unique needs.  A family services coordinator will work with you to see that your family receives assistance to promote your child's growth and development.

How do we make a difference?
Your child will have a primary early intervention specialist plus support from all discipline areas.  Here are a few examples of what "early childhood intervention" services might look like:

  • An early education teacher demonstrates how a toy might be used to help a child learn new skills.
  • A speech pathologist leads parents and toddlers in a group activity that promotes awareness of new sounds.
  • A physical therapist shows a mother how to move her child's legs to increase flexibility.
  • A family service coordinator helps parents locate a community resource to help with paying bills.
